The fitness channel, which features videos taught by trainers, is also part of YouTube’s new Google Preferred program, which gives advertisers access to the video streaming platform’s top 1 percent of channels.
BeFit also operates a multichannel network that has expanded to reach more than 2 million subscribers thanks to new partnerships with fitness expert Courtney Prather, dance expert Sydney Benner, Yoga guru Kino MacGregor and The Boot Barre founder Tracey Mallett.
“BeFit is at the pinnacle of online fitness and we are poised to continue our growth with the addition of new channels and transformational original content,” said BeFit general manager Kajsa Vikman. “The way people consume fitness content is rapidly evolving and we are at the forefront of that evolution.”
BeFit has added new programs to its lineup, which is anchored by the 30-Day Fitness series. They include a beginner’s yoga series with MacGregor and BeFit Bikini Body Pilates with YouTube star Cassey Ho.
Lionsgate launched the BeFit channel in 2012 as part of YouTube’s original content initiative. It expanded to become an MCN in 2013 through a partnership with men’s health channel Scott Herman Fitness.
